Hi there,
I'm a journalist at the Independent newspaper - before you log out in disgust please hear me out.
There's been a lot of coverage this week on BDSM because of the Max Moseley trial. Whatever your feelings are on the trial it's thrown up a lot of interesting questions regarding how the general public views BDSM.
In particular I'm not happy with the way BDSM - in my opinion a sexual activity between fully consenting adults - has been portrayed by some in the courts as some kind of peversion.
I would love to hear from enthusiasts to give their opinion on why they practice BDSM and what they think of the way people often view the community for a piece in the Independent at the end of this week.
It will give people the chance to explain to others why it is so popular and not a perversion. You don't have to give your name if you don't want to, but sex, age and occupation would be great.
